Individuals and Foundations

Cash – You have many options for making a cash gift that will help our patients and their families.

  • Mail your gift to The Valerie Fund, 2101 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040
  • Phone – Call our offices at (973) 761-0422, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please have your credit card available. If you reach us before or after business hours, please leave a message and we will return your call the next business day.
  • On-line – With a credit card and a few clicks of a mouse, you may make your donation online. Click DONATE NOW at top of page.
  • Automated installments – Pledge today, but pay your gift over a 12-month period using your credit card. You may do this online or by calling us at (973) 761-0422.
  • Matching gifts – Many employers match charitable donations made by their employees, often dollar for dollar. Ask your Benefits Manager if your gift qualifies and how you can leverage your gift to work even harder for The Valerie Fund kids.
  • Tribute Gifts – A donation to The Valerie Fund is a meaningful way to acknowledge a special day, event or achievement, or memorialize a special person. Make your donation using any of the methods described above. Click here to learn about the Calendar of Hope & Healing.
  • Charitable contributions from your IRA - Once you reach age 70½, IRA charitable rollovers qualify as the minimum distributions you are required to take from your retirement plan each year under the Pension Protection Act.  Under this legislation, individuals who are age 70½ or older can make direct transfers of up to $100,000 per year to the charity or charities of their choice without counting the transfers as income. Transfers must come from your IRA directly to charity. If you have retirement assets in a 401(k), 403(b) etc., you must first roll those funds into an IRA. You can then direct the IRA provider to transfer the funds directly to The Valerie Fund. (Just give us a call and we’ll be happy to provide the transfer info.)
  • Planned gifts – Consider naming The Valerie Fund as a beneficiary of your estate. Click here to learn more.
