Depends how much you give 'em." - Shel Silverstein There are wise sayings about doing one thing you love each day, or one thing that scares you; one thing that's new, or something that dares you to step outside of your comfort zone. For every person, on this earth, every day is a fresh start. Some of us take this for granted. For most, a new day initiates the same routine; for others, it's borrowed time. Imagine the difference one day could make to a person, a child, who isn't promised longevity. With this in mind. I'm writing this to ask for your support. Not for myself, but for all of the children the Valerie Fund has helped, is helping, and will continue to help. This organization has provided resources for countless children and their families. In this day and age, few people's lives have avoided the touch of cancer and, in this climate, not all have access to the treatments they need. Children are especially at risk. Statistically, 43 children per day are diagnosed with cancer. I've spent the last 17 years volunteering for this walk and supporting the Valerie Fund. If you haven't already, I hope this year you'll start to support them too! "There are no happy endings.
