The New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute (NJPNI) is a special medical group that helps kids with brain, spine, and nerve conditions feel better and live their best lives. From helping children with seizures, brain injuries, and muscle problems to treating rare neurological conditions, the caring team at NJPNI uses both surgery and other treatments to support children and their families every step of the way.

NJPNI was founded by Dr. Catherine Mazzola, a pediatric neurosurgeon who has spent her whole career helping children. Dr. Mazzola not only performs surgeries, but she also listens, teaches, and cheers kids on as they heal and grow stronger. She believes that family is the most important part of a child's journey—and she makes sure every family feels heard and supported.

With a warm and friendly staff, NJPNI works closely with hospitals and other doctors to make sure each child gets the care they need. Whether it’s a big surgery or just a check-up, the team at NJPNI is always ready to help—with a smile!

At NJPNI, we walk in the Valerie Fund Walk because we care deeply about kids—and not just the ones we treat every day. We walk for every child who’s ever faced a tough diagnosis with courage, for every family who’s held their child’s hand through treatment, and for every smile we’ve helped bring back
