5th Annual CAREOKE for the Kids to Support The Valerie Fund
NEW YORK – July 20, 2010 – Leading media executives from television networks and agencies will share the Irving Plaza stage on August 18th when they put the “care” in karaoke at the fifth annual “CAREOKE for Kids” fund-raising event. Last year the performers played to a SOLD OUT crowd of almost 1000 attendees and raised more than $100,000 for the children of The Valerie Fund.
CAREOKE for the Kids is organized by a group of senior television executives who wanted to create a fun, interactive event that supports the local community. “Our Executive Committee created an event that showcases the talent and generosity of our TV and Digital ad industry. CAREOKE for the Kids brings our national media industries together for one night raising awareness and monies for The Valerie Fund kids.” said Mark Gall, Sr. Vice President BBC North America Ad Sales. The Valerie Fund is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive healthcare services for children with cancer and blood disorders. There are seven Valerie Fund Children’s Centers treating more than 5,000 children in the tri-state area. This year the event’s goal is to raise $150,000 for the children of The Valerie Fund.
Groups from NBC Universal, Turner Broadcasting, Google, BBC and Comcast are among those who will be performing.
