Fighting for hope, we got this!

Sophie is a bright, all around funny, beautiful, brave, and incredibly strong 12 year old girl from Berkeley Heights, NJ. She was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma metastatic cancer when she was only 8 years old. Sophie's journey with her treatments has been a long and difficult road. Most of her treatments were done in 2020/2021 during Covid which created an added complexity to her already very sensitive situation. In 2022 Sophie had completed an immunotherapy vaccine study at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. Currently Sophie is still facing some challenges and continues to battle them by doing things that she loves including her favorite, performance art. Sophie and family will continue the fight against childhood cancer and will take part in this annual walk, as The Valerie Fund has been a lifeline for Sophie's family in so many ways during her treatment.
