For Owen and beyond!

Owen was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia nine years ago. 2017 was the worst year we had ever experienced. Thanks to the amazing team at The Valerie Fund at Newark Beth Israel, our Owen went into remission. Unfortunately, he suffered a relapse in 2020 and went back on his medication, which sustained his numbers in at a normal level for a while. We are now in a transition period and our off his medication as we track his numbers. We are not quite sure what is ahead, though a transplant is possible. He continues to be treated by the wonderful team at The Valerie Fund
