WE WALK FOR OUR FAMILY

Ally Gerhart endured childhood Leukemia. She was 11 when we got the devastating news. The Valerie Fund literally walked her whole family through this very difficult time. The staff, social workers, patient advocates, nurses, doctors and the Conscious Sedation unit that performed her spinal taps every month for 2 1/2 years, became our family forever.

Ally's Dad, Lee Gerhart, passed away on New Years Eve 2021. He survived cancer 3 times in his life. We believe his survival was motivated by Ally's example of never giving up. He wanted to meet his grandchildren and nothing would stop him from that. We are blessed that we could share these last 5 years with him. 5 years we never thought we would have.

So this year we walk as a family to support TVF and are honored to be a part of this yearly event.
