Scenes From the American Express Golf Outing
The 2019 American Express Charity Golf Tournament was a phenomenal success again this year thanks to the tireless leadership of Event Chair Steve Squeri, Vice Chairman of American Express. With special thanks to Plaza Construction's CEO and President Richard Wood, the American Express Charity Golf Tournament raised $485,000 that will be used to help families dealing with pediatric cancers and blood disorders. Other major sponsors that helped make the day so successful include , Ethel and Joel Sharenow, Aspro Plumbing Inc., The Durst Organization, Inserra Supermarkets, JDP Mechanical Inc., Plaza Construction, and UM Worldwide.
The day began with brunch at the world-renowned Baltusrol Golf Club before the golfers hit the links for an 18-hole tournament on the verdant grounds in Springfield, NJ. Included in the round of golf was a "Closest to the Pin" contest complete with an 18th hole shoot-out. The day was capped off with dinner in the club house and a speech from The Valerie Fund patient Grace, the inspiration for Grace's House earlier this year.
Thank you to everyone involved with the 2019 American Express Charity Golf Tournament and for its incredible success!
