CAREoke For The Kids 11
Twitter employees knocked out "Hey sister, go sister, soul sister, go sister" live on stage at New York's Irving Plaza on October 5th and won the hearts of the judges kicking off another decade of wild and crazy karaoke performances by members of New York's media community. Nearly 1,000 spectators showed their appreciation of the social networking company's cover of "Lady Marmalade" and for close to 20 other acts who sang their hearts out and raised over $200,000 to benefit the children of The Valerie Fund. CAREoke for the Kids is interactive entertainment at its best and has successfully brought awareness of The Valerie Fund to a young, urban demographic raising more than $1.5 million since 2006. The event continues to showcase the talent and generosity of the media industry thanks to Cara Lewis, Senior Vice President at Carat Advertising and members of the Executive Committee.
