Join Us in Welcoming New Valerie Fund Center Clinicians
There are some exciting new developments happening at The Valerie Fund Children's Centers at Monmouth Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel. The Valerie Fund is proud to announce that we have a new Child Life Specialist and Licensed Social Worker in Monmouth and a new Pediatric Oncology Social Worker in Newark Beth Israel. Meghan Shine is our new Child Life Specialist and Megan Anderson our new Social Worker at Monmouth, and Autumn Banta is our new Pediatric Oncology Social Worker at Newark.
"My vision while working in the Valerie Fund is to create an environment that is comfortable and fun," Meghan says. "In order to achieve this I would like to ensure patients have a developmentally appropriate understanding of what will happen in terms of medical interventions. I love using medical play and like to have patients have a sense of mastery in terms of the medical procedures that they will experience."
Megan Anderson, the new Social Worker at Monmouth's Valerie Fund Children's Center, shares a similar outlook with Meghan. "My vision as the Valerie Fund Social Worker is to ensure that all of our patients and families have the resources, assistance, and support that they need during difficult times," she says.
Having recently joined the team at The Valerie Fund Children's Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Autumn Banta LSW is a Licensed Social Worker who knew from a young age that she was destined to make a difference in people's lives. "The Valerie Fund has an excellent reputation and I was excited to join the team at The Valerie Fund Children's Center at Newark Beth Israel," Autumn says.
