The Valerie Fund’s Young Professionals Network aims to raise awareness, support fundraising, and promote engagement with the next generation of leaders to advance The Valerie Fund’s core mission of providing comprehensive health care services for children with cancer and blood disorders close to home. Comprised of a diverse group of like-minded individuals, the Young Professionals Network hosts a variety of fundraisers and social events that help members and Valerie Fund patients grow both personally and professionally.

Dom was first introduced to The Valerie Fund in early 2019 through the organization’s now 30-year partnership with Morgan Stanley. Starting out as a junior chair in his first campaign, Dom then proceeded to sustain the relationship throughout COVID, successfully executing two virtual campaigns with the help of his fellow co-chairs. Non-profit work has been a constant in Dom’s life, stemming from childhood interactions with local Ronald McDonald houses and Polish organizations, such as Polish Childrens Heartline. He is incredibly excited to help revitalize the Young Professionals Network and ultimately create a series of events and initiatives that become recurring annual traditions that bolster young professional exposure and engagement. Dom graduated from Duke University in 2017 with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Psychology, and currently works as an Investment Banking Associate at Morgan Stanley.
As a Young Professionals Network Board Co-Chair, Dom oversees the Membership & Communications Committee.
Manav first became involved with The Valerie Fund in 2021 while at Morgan Stanley helping to coordinate the firm's annual Valerie Fund giving campaign. Philanthropy, especially relating to expanding medical access, economic opportunity, and access to education, has been an important part of his life. As a member of the Young Professionals Network, he is excited to continue to support the growing reach and impact of The Valerie Fund and help bring smiles to patients across the tri-state area.
Manav is currently an investor at Valtruis, where he focuses on healthcare venture investments. Previously he was at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, focusing on private equity healthcare investments. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking Division after graduating from Miami University.
As a Young Professionals Network Board Co-Chair, Manav oversees the Events Committee.
Chuck Kohaut is a Senior Director on Cushman & Wakefield’s Equity, Debt & Structured Finance group, where he specializes in raising debt and equity for commercial real estate across all major asset classes with a particular focus on the New York Metropolitan area. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Chuck spent six years in institutional investment sales at Newmark, CBRE, and Colliers International. Chuck graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in Business Management Consulting and Sociology. He has been involved with The Valerie Fund through his family since childhood, and has been a counselor at the Valerie Fund's Camp Happy Times since 2014.
As a Young Professionals Network Board Co-Chair, Chuck oversees the Sponsorships Committee.
Sarah Arrighi is a graduate of Villanova University Class of 2020 with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering. She is currently attending the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Data Analytics. Her grandparents lost their daughter to Leukemia and became involved with The Valerie Fund through the Goldsteins, the founders of The Valerie Fund. It is their legacy for giving back that she hopes to keep alive with a charity that is very close to her family’s heart. Sarah currently works as a Systems Engineering in the Space and Airborne Systems Sector of L3Harris Technologies.
Andrew Ecoff joined The Valerie Fund Junior board in 2022 and has been involved with the organization since late 2020. He was introduced to The Valerie Fund during his time at Morgan Stanley. As a Senior Chair for the firm’s 30th annual Valerie Fund campaign, Andrew helped raise over $200k to go towards Camp Happy Times and the critical psychosocial services The Valerie Fund provides to patients. Andrew graduated from Northeastern University with a major in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He currently works as a Global Capital Markets Associate at Morgan Stanley.

Jeremy first joined The Valerie Fund Young Professionals Network in early 2023. He is currently in his third year at New York Medical College, studying to become a physician. Jeremy has engaged with various philanthropic and social impact organizations both as a member and leader, such as volunteering at Duke’s ambulatory surgery center, leading the Social Impact and Learning/Development committees at Deloitte, and helping the City of New York to distribute 400k+ meals to local communities during the COVID pandemic. More recently, he became involved with the Woodfield Cottage Detention Center and the STEM mentorship program at his school. Jeremy graduated from Duke University in 2017 with a B.A. in Computer Science.
Jacob Weiss joined The Valerie Fund's Young Professionals Network Board in 2023. He first became involved with The Valerie Fund during his time at Morgan Stanley helping to coordinate the firm’s annual Valerie Fund campaign. Jacob is looking forward to increasing his involvement with the organization and is especially excited for Camp Happy Times! Jacob graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Computer Science and currently works as an investment associate at Arsenal Capital Partners.

Matt was first exposed to The Valerie Fund in 2020 through the organization’s long-standing partnership with Morgan Stanley. Initially serving as a junior chair in his first campaign, he became a senior chair for the firm’s 30th annual Valerie Fund campaign, raising over $200K for the patients of The Valerie Fund. Matt has a strong passion for non-profit work and has been actively involved with various Catholic charities and medical organizations throughout his life. Matt began his career as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley, and he currently works as an investment professional in the healthcare group at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Matt holds a B.S. and B.A. in finance and theology from Georgetown University.

Bella graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2023 with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Since graduation, she joined Goldman Sachs in Industrial Investment Banking. Bella became a Valerie Fund kid at age 7 and over the years, has remained involved to continue giving back to TVF through a variety of initiatives including: the annual walk, speaking at Valerie Fund events, and Camp Happy Times. Throughout college, she was a recipient of the Valerie Fund’s GNO Scholarship and was a member of the university’s club field hockey team, M&A club, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, and the Transfer Student Organization. Outside of school and work, Bella is passionate about world languages and generative art.
Charlotte has Glioblastoma (brain cancer) and was treated at Newark Beth Israel from May 9, 2013 to June 15, 2014. Charlotte is currently doing her MBA at Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School with a specialization in Entrepreneurial Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Public and Private Sector Leadership. Charlotte hopes to give back to The Valerie Fund for everything that they have done for her and her family.
Dimitri Vallejo, a 2014 Valerie Fund Ambassador and current J.D. candidate at Columbia Law School, is deeply committed to both the legal profession and community service. He has actively championed the Valerie Fund at numerous fundraising events, both within and outside the organization. Dimitri's dedication to public service extends to various initiatives designed to assist wrongfully incarcerated global human rights advocates, low-income individuals navigating divorce, and those burdened by medical debt. This summer, he will further his legal career as a 1L Scholar at Skadden.
Previously, Dimitri completed a Bachelor's in Political Science and History at Columbia.
Elle was introduced to the Valerie Fund at the age of 16. During her sophomore year of high school, Elle was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Life quickly changed and the Valerie Fund became a part of who she was. The people she met through the hospital, fundraising events, and Camp Happy Times, became family. As a result of her experience, Elle's goal in life is to give back to the community and organization that supported her and her family at a time they needed it most. She now works as a High School Counselor and is thrilled to be joining the Young Professionals Network.
Meghana is a young professional living in New York City, working as a Product Manager on the Commercial and Investment Banking Product team at J.P. Morgan. She graduated from James Madison University in 2019 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Meghana joined the Young Professionals Network Board in 2024 after attending fundraising events in prior years. Meghana has a strong passion for non-profit organizations and has been actively involved with many organizations, one primarily being Susan G. Komen's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
Marcus currently works as an investment professional at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, where he focuses on investments in various areas of healthcare services. Previously, he was an investment banker in J.P. Morgan’s healthcare group. Marcus first became exposed to the Valerie Fund in 2023 and was specifically drawn to the mission of the Valerie Fund, making care accessible and close to home. As a member of the Young Professionals Network, he looks forward to the opportunity to support the organization and drive real change in the world. Marcus is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Accounting.
