CAREoke 8 will raise over $200,000 for The Valerie Fund

NEW YORK – July 18, 2013 – Leading media executives from television networks and agencies will share the Irving Plaza stage on August 21st when they put the "care" in karaoke at the eighth annual "CAREOKE for Kids" fund-raising event.  This year's event will raise the most money since the inception of CAREoke for the Kids.

This event brings together New York's media community at Irving Plaza for a "one-night only" CAREOKE (karaoke) concert featuring 20+ courageous groups from all levels of the media industry. The past seven years' sold-out events raised more than $800,000 that directly benefited the deserving children of The Valerie Fund. Help us get to $1,000,000! Our goal this year is to raise $200,000.

CAREOKE for the Kids is organized by a group of senior television executives who wanted to create a fun, interactive event that supports the local community.  "It is an honor year after year to represent Careoke for the Kids and the Valerie Fund.  I find it very rewarding to raise money for the "kids" while enjoying all that our industry has to offer." – Cara Lewis, VP Group Director, Carat.

The Valerie Fund is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive healthcare services for children with cancer and blood disorders.  There are seven Valerie Fund Children's Centers treating more than 4,000 children in the tri-state area.  This year the event's goal is to raise $200,000 for the children of The Valerie Fund.

Groups from Turner Broadcasting, Viacom, NBC/Universal and BBC are among those who will be performing.

Corporate sponsorships ranging from $12,500 to $6,000 are still available on a limited basis until August 10.  Ticket packages include: a 20-ticket package for $2,500 and a 10-ticket package for $1,250.   You can purchase individual tickets for $125 each and spots on stage are $1500 (limited spots available). New this year you can also purchase a 30 second commercial for $1000 and commercial loop for $500.
