For Patients & Families
At the Valerie Fund we are aware that in order to treat the whole patient effectively, our care must extend beyond the treatment at our Centers. We know that when a child with cancer or a blood disorder – and that child's family – walk out our doors, whether leaving for that day or for the last time, their needs don't go away. That's why we provide services and programs to continue supporting families beyond our seven state-of-the art Centers.
Our Centers
The Valerie Fund Centers are hospital-based specialty centers where children are diagnosed and treated for cancer and blood disorders. At our centers, psychosocial staff work alongside medical staff to help patients and families navigate through the fear, stress and uncertainty that go hand in hand with their illness.
Programs and Services at Our Centers
We provide each patient with a team of social workers, psychologists and child life specialists that support them throughout their journey, which eases the burden so their family can concentrate on healing.
About Our Programs and Services
Scholarship Program
Since forming the Valerie Fund Scholarship in 2006, we have given financial support to hundreds of children treated at one of our seven centers to put towards a post-secondary education. We are grateful to our generous donors for making this scholarship program possible and allowing our children to continue their journey.
